A signed detour utilizing Route 458, Route 1057, and Route 460 will carry through traffic around the project. The current project construction cost estimate is approximately $950,000. Federal funds administered through KDOT will be utilized to fund 80% of the project construction costs. In addition, federal safety funding will be utilized for constructing improvements to the two roadway curves immediately south of the bridge. Douglas County is responsible for 20% of construction costs plus 100% of costs for engineering design, right-of-way acquisition, and utility relocations.
