"NOTICE OF PLACES AND DATES OF REGISTRATION" In compliance with the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2310, notice is hereby given that the books for registration of voters will be open at the following places during regular business hours: Baldwin City Hall, 803 High St., the Eudora City Hall, 4 E 7th St, the Eudora Public Library, 114 E 9th St., in Eudora; the Douglas County Clerk's office, 1100 Massachusetts St, the Lawrence City Clerk's office, 6 E 6th St, Independence, Inc, 2001 Haskell Ave, ECKAN, 1600 Haskell Ave, Kinder-Care Learning Center, 2333 Crestline Dr, the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Dept, 200 Maine St, Suite B, the KS Commission on Veteran's Affairs, 745 Vermont St, the KS Dept of Social and Rehabilitation Services, 1901 Delaware St, the Audio Reader Network, KU campus, Cottonwood, Inc., 2801 W 31st St, in Lawrence, Dillon's (Treasurer Satellite), 3000 W. 6th St, Treasurer South Satellite, 2108 W. 27th St., Ste I; the Lecompton City Clerk's office, 333 Elmore St, Kroger's Country Store, 4th & 1029 County Road, in Lecompton. The books for registration of voters in Douglas County, KS, will close at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th day of March, 2006, at the County Clerk's office and will remain closed until the 5th day of April, 2006. A citizen of the United States who is 18 years of age or older, or will have attained the age of 18 years at the next election, must register before he or she can vote. Registration is open until the close of business on the 15th day before the election. When a voter has been registered according to law, the voter shall remain registered until the voter changes name by marriage, divorce or other legal proceeding or changes residence. The voter may re-register in person, by mail or other delivery when registration is open or the voter may re-register on election day. Application forms shall be provided by the county election officer or the Secretary of State upon request. The application shall be signed by the applicant under penalty of perjury.
