Wakarusa Township 2006 Road Surfacing Locations and Schedule

Wakarusa Township plans to stabilize the rock base and subsequently chip seal several roadway segments beginning Monday, May 22nd. During base stabilization work, the road segments will be closed to through traffic but will be available for local (within project limits) traffic. During prime and chip seal operations, the road segments will be closed to ALL traffic for a minimum 24-hour duration. Following is Wakarusa Township's planned schedule for base stabilization work. Week of May 22 thru May 26: - E 1135 Road, from N 1200 Rd (Rte 458) to low water crossing approximately 1/2 mile east of E 1000 Rd (Rte 458) - N 1116 Rd, N 1138 Rd, and N 1156 Rd - all portions east of E 1000 Rd (Rte 458) Week of May 30 thru June 2: - N 900 Road, from E 1050 Rd to E 1125 Rd - E 1100 Road, from N 900 Rd to bridge at approximately 975 E 1100 Rd - N 1000 Road, from E 1200 Rd to E 1256 Rd - N 1175 Road, from E 1500 Rd to E 1550 Rd - E 1550 Road, from N 1175 Rd to N 1100 Rd Week of June 5 thru June 9: - N 1100 Road, from E 1600 Rd to E 1800 Rd - E 1600 Road, from N 1100 Rd to approx 1/4 north of N 1100 Rd NOTE: CLICK ON LINK BELOW TO VIEW MAP CONTAINING MOST UP-TO-DATE ROAD LOCATION AND SCHEDULE INFORMATION! Following the completion of base stabilization work on the above road segments, the Township will apply a bituminous prime material and then chip seal the above road segments. Prime and chip seal work will take approximately 2 weeks to complete following the above base stabilization schedule.
