Preliminary Hearings In State v. Damien Lewis Continued

The Preliminary Hearings in State v. Damien Lewis, 02CR1268 and 02CR1256 have been continued to 12/12/02 at 9:00 AM. Formal charges were filed against Damien C. Lewis, 22, on July 18, 2002 for the murders of George "Pete" Wallace and Wyonna Chandlee on July 10, 2002. Lewis is also charged in a different case with Aggravated Robbery, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Formal charges are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
