Voter Registration deadline is October 20, 2008

The deadline to register to vote is Monday, October 20, 2008. Voter registration applications can be downloaded from our website, www.douglascountyelections.com. They are also available in our office, at the county treasurer satellite locations, libraries, state and federal assistance offices. A full list is found on our website under voter registration. Registrations can be returned in person to our office, put in the overnight drop box in our south parking lot, sent via mail, attached to an email as a scanned document (must have original signature) to kcampbell@douglas-county.com, or sent to us via fax at 832-5192. If the registration is sent via mail, it must bear the postmark of October 20th; so it can be sent on that Monday. Our office will stay open late on the October 20th until 7:00 p.m. Citizens can go to the website to check their current registration to see if any changes need to be made by going to our website. They need to reregister if they have moved or changed their name from their current registration. They do not need to reregister if nothing has changed since the last time they registered.
