Lawrence Resident Sentenced in Aggravated Indecent Liberties Case

Secondine, 57, was sentenced Friday in Division Four of Douglas County District Court for Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child and Indecent Liberties with a Child. Secondine pled no contest to the charges at a June 4th hearing. Secondine was sentenced to 59 months for the Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child charge and 32 months for the Indecent Liberties with a child charge. The sentences will run consecutive to each other for a total of 91 months in the custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections. Branson advised, "I am pleased the Court assured the Defendant will be removed from society for a significant period of time." The sentencing was held in front of The Honorable Michael J. Malone; the investigation was conducted by the Lawrence Police Department and the case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney James McCabria. -30-
