Sheriff's Office Seeks Public Comment on Grant Application

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the Lawrence Police Department have jointly applied for an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. It is a local solicitation grant for $67,661.00 that has been allocated for Douglas County and Lawrence City. If awarded, the funds will be use for purchasing a new recording system for the Emergency Communications 911 Center, Douglas County's main public safety answering point.
