Hallmark Cards Receives Regional LEPC Award

Douglas County Emergency Management is proud to announce on August 8, 2009, at the 2009 Region VII Emergency Planning and Response Conference Hallmark Cards received the regional award for an industry in Kansas that is a major contributor to their LEPC. Hallmark Cards, Inc. is an active participant to the Douglas County LEPC not only to sit on the board, but is dedicated to the safety of its employees and the community in which they operate. Hallmark understands the significance of planning for all hazards. Their cadre of plans includes not only an Emergency Response Plan but also a Continuity of Operations Plan as they are aware of their importance to the community surviving a disaster. Hallmark Cards, Inc. and its representative, Susan Rodgers, are dedicated to providing leadership and coordination within the private sector of the many all-hazard and homeland security and prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts in Douglas County.
