Formal Charges Filed in Death Investigation

Formal charges have been filed against David J. Uptain, 31, for the January 3, 2003 death of Michael Riley. David J. Uptain is charged in 03CR0018 with Murder in the Second Degree. Bond is set at $175,000.00. A Preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 9, 2003 at 2:00 PM. Formal charges are merely an accusation and the Respondent is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
