Husband and Wife Charged With Crimes Against Children

Brown II, 32, was charged with three counts of Rape (off grid/person/felony), three counts of Aggravated Criminal Sodomy (off grid/person/felony) and two counts of Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child (level 3/person/felony). Natasha M. Brown, 33, was charged with two counts of Aggravated Endangering a Child (level 9/person/felony) and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior (level 9/person/felony). Both suspects live in Lawrence. Detectives with the Lawrence Police Department began investing the Browns when a Lawrence family contacted the LPD and claimed two of their daughters had been sexually assaulted by Mr. Brown. Both defendants were set for no go preliminary hearings on June 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the Division Six courtroom. Bond for Ms. Brown was set at $10,000 cash/surety. Bond for Mr. Brown was set at $500,000 cash/surety. The charges listed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. -30-
