Agencies Release "Make A Plan" PSA Featuring KU Head Football Coach Turner Gill

Douglas County Emergency Management, in partnership with Kansas Highway Patrol, KU Athletics, and the Lawrence Police Department, has released a "Make a Plan" television public service announcement featuring KU Head Football Coach Turner Gill. In the PSA, Kansans are encouraged to make a plan for severe weather in the same way Coach Gill and the Jayhawks make a game plan for opponents. This plan includes knowing how to receive information and where to take shelter. The PSA is being provided to television stations and cable operators and will be used on websites and social media. Each individual and family in Douglas County should have a plan for their family to ensure they are prepared when severe weather strikes. This is just the first step to being prepared. Everyone also should have an emergency kit and stay informed.
