Second Case Filed In December 6, 2002 Incident

Additional charges have been filed by the Douglas County District Attorney's Office from the incident that occurred on December 6, 2002 at the corner of 10th and Massachusetts St. in Lawrence. A formal complaint has been filed in State v. Luke Wells, 03CR1140, charging one count of Battery, B person misdemeanor. A summons has been issued and the arraignment date is pending. Formal charges are merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
