Eudora Man Sentenced for Aggravated Criminal Sodomy

Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson announces Eudora resident Stacy R. Scott, 47, was sentenced today in the Division Six Courtroom of the Honorable Peggy C. Kittel to 176 months in the custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) for Aggravated Criminal Sodomy. After serving his sentence, Scott will be required to register as a sex offender for life and he will also be subject to lifetime post release supervision. Investigation into the case began on March 14 when the victim's mother went to the Eudora Police Department and told officers her son had disclosed a sex crime had been committed against him. In addition to the work by the Eudora Police Department, the case was prosecuted by D.A. Branson.
