Redistricting Process for Douglas County Commission

01/03/2012
The three Douglas County commissioners each represent a district within Douglas County. The boundaries separating the three districts are redrawn once every ten years based upon census data to assure that each district has approximately the same population, as required by law. The Douglas County Commission will start work on the task of adjusting the County Commission boundary lines based on 2010 Census data at their regular meeting on *January 11th, 2012 at 6:35 p.m.* by considering three proposals that have been developed for discussion. Interested citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting. Below is a link to the "Commission Districts - Redistricting Process" page containing more information on this topic, including links to four documents that the County Commission will be discussing at that meeting.
