State Upgrading Motor Vehicle Technology

04/03/2012
The State of Kansas has announced they will begin phase one of converting 6.8 million vehicle records to a new system to improve customer service and efficiency on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Phase one covers vehicle titling and registration. Phase two, which covers driver licensing, will occur separately at a later date. Conversion will take a few days, during which state and county offices will be unable to provide services to drivers and vehicle owners. State driver license offices will be closed from May 1 through May 7. The state vehicle office and county treasurer offices will be unable to provide vehicle related services from May 1 through at least May 7. We will post updates at this website, or you may call your County Treasurer's office at 785-832-5273.
