Call for Artists for the Local Artist Series!

The "Local Artist Series" is a group of local artists that have been selected by area jury members to have their artwork displayed in the historic Douglas County Courthouse in beautiful downtown Lawrence, Kansas. Examples of some artwork is also displayed prominently on the Douglas County website's home page in the right-column, and links are provided to the local artists website if it's provided. If you're a local artist who is interested in having your artwork displayed after August 13th, please contact County Treasurer Paula Gilchrist at 785-832-5275 or pgilchrist@douglas-county.com. Open dates include: - Aug 14th - Sept 24th, 2013 (1st floor) - Sept 25 - Nov 5, 2013 (1st floor) - Nov 6 - Dec 17, 2013 (1st floor) - Oct, Nov, Dec 2013 (2nd floor) Artists participating in 2013 series include: - Violet Sant (acrylic & ceramics) - Michael McCaffrey (painting) - Tom Allen (historical license plates) - Donna Dennis (acrylic) - Roger Spohn (photography) - Lawrence Art Guild (Amanda Monaghan String Theory Project) For more information on this series, please visit the "Local Artist Series" link below.
