Overland Park Man Sentenced in DUI Fatality

Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson announces Overland Park resident Sean B. Walker, 24, was sentenced today in the Division Four Courtroom of the Honorable Michael J. Malone to 60 months in the custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections. Mr. Walker plead guilty on January 11 to his original charge of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Walker was westbound on Bob Billings Parkway when he struck Ms. Mary Grace Paez's vehicle, who was attempting to cross on Inverness. A Lawrence Police Officer who was nearby witnessed the incident. The case was investigated by the Lawrence Police Department and prosecuted by D.A. Branson.
