Lawrence Man Charged With Attempted First Degree Murder

Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson announces Lawrence resident JD Turner, 34, was charged today with attempted first degree murder.  The victim, Anthony Wisdom, was shot multiple times following an altercation with the defendant early this morning at Dad Perry Park. 

Turner’s next court appearance will be February 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Division Four.  The Court set bond at $250,000.

Any charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
